Memory verse: “if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small”. (Prov. 24:10).
Turbulent means chaotic, disorder, characterized by conflict. Turbulent Times – For the day of the Lord upon all nations is near …. but on mount Zion there shall be deliverance.
Prophet Haggai poured out his heart to show that “…in the latter days, God is going to shake all the things and bring all nations into judgment”. Haggai 2:6, Joel 3;2. Yes, He alone is my “Rock, my Rescuer, Defence & Fortress. Why then should I be tense with fear when troubles come?”. (Psalm 62:2).
Sometimes, turbulence is not an option; so I’m left with two questions: Am I going to worry & wonder if God will get me through this? Or am I going to relax & trust that God will get me through this? Hebrews 11:6 answers it all – “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (ESV). I just need to apply it to my life & when I do, God refines me in the process.
When Turbulence comes, I can easily miss God’s goodness. I need to look for His glory around me and set my thoughts on the impossible which He can do for me.
Has life been tossing u around lately? The next time u experience a little turbulence, remember that u have full access to the to the one who will hold you safely & secured.
In conclusion, we need to focus our minds and our hearts on God and His power like never before; and Pray.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, as I face today’s challenges, help me not to shrink back in fear or discouragement. Instead, teach me how to see these challenges as an opportunity to grow my faith in you and to remember you are in control.
