As the church needs to expand so as to enable the body of Christ and the good message of the gospel be spread to the entire world, House on the Rock emerged to foster that course.
It becomes necessary for us to know the historical background of house on the rock. Below is the history of the church.
Founder: Pastor Paul Adefarasin
Headquarters: Lagos, Nigeria
Year Founded: 1994
House On The Rock was started by Paul Adefarasin in 1994 after he got born again. He started the church in his mother’s living room in Lagos with a few attendees. Proof of his calling is that the living room church has blossomed into a Ministry that has over 50 daughter churches in Africa and Europe.
Speaking on the vision and mission of his Ministry, Pastor Paul who is also the founder and president of The Rock Foundation stated,
“Our vision is to be the voice of excellence, the hand of power and a bridge of hope. We believe in the power of God to change lives and value the practical application of His Word to make a difference in who we are and what we do. Believing and obeying His Word leads us in a discovery of real life and a hope for eternity. This is what the Bible teaches us, that Jesus Christ came as God’s gift to the world with a message of Good News.”
“Our mission is to position the unexpected and the unlikely for the prolific move of God in the 21st Century and beyond. We are committed to ministering to your destiny; to assist you through the Word and covenant relationships to become all that God has called you to become and to do all that He has called you to do.”
House On The Rock believes in the following:
“We in the power of God’s Word to change lives and value the practical application of His Word to make a difference in who we are and what we do. Believing and obeying His message leads us in a discovery of real life and a hope for eternity. This is what the Bible teaches us, that Jesus Christ came as God’s gift to the world with a message of good news.”
We believe the entire bible is inspired by God and the final authority in all things.
We believe in the trinity; one God who exists in three distinct persons; Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and Savior of the world.
We believe Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross and on the third day He rose triumphant over death.
We believe that there is no other name given that man should be saved by but the name of Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again.
