Solemn Whisper Devotional: “End Well No Matter What” [A Must Read]

(Eccl 9:11; Mark 10:28-31)

MEMORY VERSE: “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all” (Ecclesiastes 9:11).

Regardless of your physical strength or weakness, you can end well. All you need to do is rely on God completely with no reservation. Your strength alone will fail you.

Those who think are strong and powerful often fail. They fail because they think they can achieve much by their strength (1 Sam. 2.9; Zechariah 4:6). It’s God that you really need, and not your strength. God will be everything to you, including strength and power to carry on until the very end.

The message of “ending well” is not for unbelievers. It’s not for those who have not begun their journey. It’s rather for those who have begun their journey and are on the journey. How’s been your journey so far? Smooth, rough or something? Whichever case is yours, you can end well. After it’s all said and done, it is how you end that matters.

To keep up the faith is not easy. You may think it is easy when the storm is yet to come, but it is not so easy; however, it is possible with God.

Finally, among other things you may need to finish well is your work of faith. To end well, you need to trust in the Lord with all your heart (Prov. 3:5-6), and keep pressing on in the place of prayers with meditation (Mat. 26:41). Knowing that you need to end well is something you’ve got to hold on to strongly. Examine your life and know whether you’re going up or down. Don’t watch the enemy put out your fire. Your zeal may be ebbing away, and your faith petering to an unexpected end; do wake up now! You just have to end well. The end of the age is near and you should be conscious of what you do per time because your end shall be defined by what time you can or cannot work anymore (Joh. 9:4). May God help us in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER: O LORD, I desire to end well. My know-how, strength, experience and charisma are not enough to carry me through. Therefore, I need you to help me. Please, help me to end well in Jesus’ Name.
